He's A Star!
As part of the Puppy Confidence class that Kodiak recently completed, he tested for the AKC STAR Puppy program. This is for puppies under a year old, a pre-Canine Good Citizen certification. It includes some basic obedience, with and without distractions, and allowing someone else to pet him. Kodiak passed with flying colors, naturally. His certificate and medal finally arrived in the mail yesterday.

He looks very serious and dignified. Kinda ironic though that he is likely to be frightened by a medal for a confidence class.
Well, yes, his fear of the medal is why I didn't post this Thursday when the stuff arrived. It took until Friday afternoon to convince him that it wasn't going to kill him. What can I say? Kodiak's full of contradictions...

John took the words out of my mouth...Kodiak definately looks serious and dignified. Maybe it's really a look of terror and he's just holding still long enough for you to take the picture knowing the horrible neck contraption will be put away if he cooperates...tee, hee. Mary B.
